The Member of Parliament who also doubles as the Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon George Mireku Duker, the Western Regional Minister, Hon. Kobby Otchere Darko Mensah, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Benjamin Kessie, the Municipal Director Of Education, Constituency Executives together with other invited dignitaries today commissioned an ultramodern Girls Dormitory for Tarkwa Secondary School – Tarsco.
The Municipal Director Of Education used the opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the Member of Parliaments massive development to the good people of the Constituency and to the two very best secondary schools in his Constituency, Tarkwa Secondary School and Fiaseman Secondary school.
The Municipal Education Officer, urged the headmaster of the Tarkwa Secondary School to utilize the New Girls Dormitory Block for its beneficiary school. Moving from double track school system to a single track school going system, the Municipal Director of Education urged the headmaster, Stakeholders and Management of the school to make good use of the new facility.
The Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Benjamin Kessie who also happens to be an old boy of Tarkwa Secondary School – Tarsco used the opportunity once again to encourage and to acknowledge Management of the school to be hopeful and watchful for unprecedented projects. Tackling that of the schools Sick Bay, the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Benjamin Kessie used the opportunity also to renovate the school’s sick bay for the betterment of the students.
The Member of Parliament, Hon George Mireku Duker also used the opportunity to highlight on recent commissioned projects and other ongoing projects in the Constituency. He once again promised to see the Minister of Roads and Highways who also happens to be an old boy to help fix the nature of the road stretch leading to their school. He once again promised to donate a brand new Laptop and Learning materials to students participating in the National Science And Maths Quize for the School if they are able to emerge to the Semi Finals in the competition.
The Western Regional Minister and MP for Takoradi Constituency reiterated government’s commitment in infrastructure development both in the private and the public sector. He emphasized on the unprecedented efforts of the Member of Parliament and also urged all to support him throughout.
